So I shared the video interview I did with Millennials of Singapore in my last post and explained that there was supposed to be an article to go along with it. I don't know why it hasn't been uploaded, weeks after the video was shared, which is pretty upsetting because the article/story gives the video context. I'm going to share it here anyway (and it's a long one). Writing is my respite from life's challenges and I do it to share my story, allow people who relate to feel....... less alone , and to remind everyone to be kind and conscious of how they treat others. Like I said during the video interview, we don't know how much someone is hiding/going through behind their smile. Having said that, if anything I share on this blog resonates with you and you feel the need to reach out to me, don't hesitate, because I understand. I understand what it means to be able to need to reach out and be able to. Here's the full story I submitted to Mille...

More than meets the eye

And no, the title of this post has nothing to do with Transformers. Anyway, hey. I've been away for quite a while to, uh, focus on my personal life. In the duration between my last post and this one, I've been up to quite a bit. Got myself a job (yay me for fighting the anxiety and winning this battle), turned 22 (which by the way is not even HALF as fun as Taylor Swift makes it sound, ugh), had a few birthday celebrations with different groups of friends and lastly, got the video interview segment of the article I submitted to Millennials of Singapore done. It's up on their Facebook page (but I'm uploading it here too, just so it's easier for you to access if you're viewing this on your phone). There's actually a personal story/article that I wrote which is supposed to go along with the video, but it hasn't been shared on their website yet, so I'll leave that for another post. Disclaimer: I chose to have my identity concealed in the video b...

Strength in Love: The good, the bad and the ugly

Okay. So my last post definitely got the ball rolling. So many of you reached out to me and told me that you read the post; some of you even took the opportunity to open up to me that you too, have been going through a similar struggle. It's madness, and I'm beyond elated that the post resonated with you guys because that is exactly what I hoped would happen and it did. I got a lot of "I never knew you went through all that"s but that's the thing: no one ever truly knows what other people are going through. Hence, I cannot stress enough how much we should all be kind to one another (yes, as Ellen repeatedly says at the end of her every talk show episode) no matter what our backgrounds are. We just don't know what others are going through and how hard they're trying to pull themselves together and be strong. Today's post is going to take a slightly different turn. I bet most of you were under the impression this is going to be some sappy relations...

New beginnings

"Morning not only forgives; it forgets." —Marty Rubins It's been years since I last did anything remotely close to posting on a website that, uh, belonged solely to me. I finally got down to starting a blog and customizing it to my liking just so I could have a creative space all to myself with no rules or boundaries whatsoever. Figured the people who follow me on Twitter and Instagram have probably gotten sick of seeing my lengthy tweets and captions discussing stuff that simply don't belong on those sites because I, a 22-year-old woman, can't shut up about something that I have an opinion of (sorry guys). I don't even know if anyone will read this, but that's probably the least of my concerns right now, but here's exactly why I wanted to start a blog, apart from mouthing off about every little opinion I have: I've got much more me-time now that I'm not working and I'll explain why I'm not working in a bit; I needed an ...
